Six Word Memoir

Six-Word Memoirs is a special project created by Larry Smith, founder of Smith Magazine. Smith was inspired by Ernest Hemingway's legendary six-word novel, "For sale: baby shoes, never worn."

The challenge is to feel the weight of words, and recognize their importance. Since the project began, Six-Words has seen over 200,000 six-word memoirs and published five books, including Six-Words on Love and Heartbreak, and I Can't Keep My Own Secrets.

That's the point of this challenge... to look deep inside yourself and find your true emotion, your true feelings... and write them in 6 words.

2010-08-14 [Talos Cyrion]: if it's any consolation to you Yume i happen to be a poet. It's not about comparison...simply coming up with whatever six word phrase that best suits a description for your emotions (to be honest six letter also is amazing because it at least for me really makes me think)

and i've had a lot of experience with poetry...
this comes naturally to me.

I was just sorta pointing out that it was straight from the heart because this is the best time for me to write my most powerful stuff.

2010-08-14 [~Valkyrie~]: I'm not much of a poet myself, but every once in a while something just takes shape. I wasn't even thinking about this when I came up with mine.

I thought up another one just this morning. It just came to me when I woke up. :)

2010-08-14 [Koho Ai]: I am a poet so a million things hit me at once and I have to choose appropriately cause some are more violent then others.
